You already did the hard part. Nobody can read it on a phone.
A contractor is standing in a driveway on Tuesday and he needs a skid steer Thursday. He pulls up your rate sheet — the one you actually keep current — and gets a desktop table he has to pinch and zoom with one hand, and photos that never appear because his phone has nothing to hover with. So he calls the national yard instead. You didn't lose that job on price. You lost it on a page.
We looked
The best rate sheet in the region is the one nobody can use.
We went through the rental yards and the sales-and-service dealers around here and opened every site on a phone, the way a contractor would.
Prices one yard publishes — and keeps current
Four-hour, daily, weekly and monthly columns across the whole fleet, stamped “Last price update: 7/26/2026.” That is a yard doing the single hardest thing in this business, on purpose, for years. Then it's delivered on a page with no mobile setting at all, so it loads zoomed-out and unreadable on a phone — and every product photo is hidden behind a mouse hover, which a touchscreen cannot do. The machines are invisible to most of the people looking at them.
Meanwhile, this outranks all of them
An out-of-state outfit is sitting on page one for Syracuse searches with a better-built page than any real yard here — published rates, a booking button on every service, maintenance plans. Its address is a placeholder, its phone is an 888 number, and its own footer lists the places it serves:
123 Main St Suite 100, Syracuse, NY 13202Areas we often serve: Salt Lake City · Baltimore · Fort Wayne
It isn't a company. It's a page farm, and it's harvesting your county's phone calls.
And some have quietly died
One dealer of 40-plus years has had an expired security certificate since May, so every visitor hits a full-page warning — and behind it the host is serving an account-suspended page. Four months, still ranking as their website. Another, selling equipment since 1960, let the web address lapse completely; search results still point people at it with an 800 number attached.
The cheap ones never got finished
One local yard's site is still serving its template's editor instructions to real customers — a placeholder note that was never supposed to be visible, misspelled, repeated down the page. Another shows the builder's own “filler” demo email where the contact should be. A third has about 3,000 characters on the whole site, a typo in the headline, and no prices anywhere — just “request a quote.”
What we're not going to tell you STRAIGHT
- We're not promising to get you to the top of Google. Nobody can, and anybody who says they can is lying.
- A website will never promise a machine is available. Machines come back late, or broken, and you know that better than we do. Every “reserve this date” is a request that lands on your phone — you still say yes or no, same as when it rings.
- We're not rewriting your rates or telling you what to charge. They're your numbers. We just make them readable.
What we build
Six things, built for a rental yard.
Most of it is work you've already done. We're reformatting it, not inventing it — which is why this is the fastest build we do.
Your rate sheet, readable with a thumb THE BIG ONE
- Four-hour, day, week and month — the same columns you keep now
- They type “skid steer” and get it, instead of scrolling a table sideways
- You change a rate from your phone and it's live
If you already maintain a rate sheet, this is mostly done. We take the numbers you have and put them somewhere a man in a truck can actually read them.
“Will my truck pull it?” NOBODY HAS THIS
- Operating weight, width, and what trailer and hitch it needs, on every machine
- A plain line that says whether a half-ton will do it or he's bringing something bigger
This is the question behind half your calls, and the reason for a share of your damage. Answer it on the page and the guy shows up with the right truck.
Reserve this date — as a request HOW IT HAS TO WORK
- He picks the machine and the days and sends it
- It hits your phone as a request, clearly marked not confirmed
- You confirm or you don't — and he's told that up front
We build it this way because it's the only honest way. It still captures the job at nine at night when you're not answering, and it never puts you on the hook for a machine that hasn't come back yet.
What delivery costs, before he asks SAVES THE CALL
- Your delivery and pickup charge by town, published
- How far out you'll go, and where you won't
Right now somebody has to stop and work that out on the phone, several times a day, for jobs half of which never happen.
Photos that actually show up SOUNDS SMALL, ISN'T
- Every machine, visible on a phone without tapping or hovering anything
- Your real yard and your real iron — not stock pictures of somebody else's fleet
A renter wants to see the machine before he commits to a day rate. If the picture doesn't load, he assumes you don't have it.
Yard status, two taps KILLS THE CALLS
- “Both skid steers out until Thursday” — you post it from the phone in your pocket
- Date-stamped at the top of the page, so nobody wonders if it's stale
The most-asked question you get is whether you've got one right now. Answering it once on the page beats answering it thirty times a week.
